Circuit Intégré: De l'idée à la puce ; Integrated Circuit: from the idea to the chip
his course will focus on the design of microelectronic interfaces between the real and digital worlds. Students will be introduced to the various stages of circuit development, from application design and system modeling to transistor-level design and masking. Energy consumption reduction, manufacturing, and industrialization constraints (yield, access to technology, etc.) will also be addressed in this module, which will be delivered as a capstone project alternating between lectures and practical exercises. The module will focus on a quantum communication application within the framework of a free-space optical link.
By completing this module, the student will be introduced to:
- the operation of MOSFET transistors, as well as their modeling and fabrication
- the analysis of elementary circuits
- the methodology for designing and simulating analog and mixed-signal circuits
- layout drawing and consideration
Grading
The final grade will be a weighted grade based on the final exam grade (50%), the practical work grades (20%), and the final project submission (30%).
